This Spalted Beech wood platter has amazing grain detail. The ‘spalting’ ie the black lines comes from a micro-organism that attacks the wood once the wood has died. This platter has been stabilised and treated with a wood safe finish so it will not change. It is quite a chunky platter and is therefore heavy. The platter is 8” x 2”.
